Sitting at a presentation by the Urban Caracal Project, we heard the stories of Caracals (colloquially, rooikat) living around the city Cape Town. When findings of radio collared cats were revealed, one story, of a caracal moving in and out of a region reduced to cinders by fire, stayed with me.
